- Sliced whole grain bread (try Dave's- sold in Von's and other markets)
- "Earth Balance"
- "Daiya" cheddar finely-crumbled
- Vegan gourmet or Diaya cheddar-style cheese (sliced)
- Finely- crumbled potato chips (any "health" brand)
- Spread Earth Balance on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place pairs of bread slices on cookie sheet with one butter-‐side up & one butter-‐side down.
- Place one or two slices of vegan cheese on top of the butter-‐down slices.
- Sprinkle potato chip crumbles over butter-‐up slices.
- Broil on low-broil till golden. Then place the cheese-‐less slice on top of the cheesy slice with butter & crumble side up. Carefully flip over using 2 spatulas, then sprinkle potato chip crumbles over top & broil till golden. (Be careful, they broil quickly!)
- Slice with sharp serrated knife & serve.
- Great with tomato soup!
